National Student Leadership Convention


20th Annual National Student Leadership Convention

October 9-12, 2008 Washington, D.C.

At the 2008 International Law Student Convention, law and pre-law students will attend workshops and activities designed to help them faithfully follow Christ in the legal profession. Students from Law Student Ministry (LSM) chapters across the country will enjoy fellowship, teaching, and encouragement as they discuss God's call and balancing their lives. Late night after-hours receptions will happen every night for students to just hang out and eat or visit or both.

THURSDAY, October 9

10 pm Introduction and Welcome Reception, followed by fellowship in the "after hours" suite.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10

6:30 pm On Friday, for the first time ever, students will gather for dinner before the main session. It will be a time of fellowship with students and law professors from other schools around the world.

10:30 pm Annual favorite, Law Student Praise and Worship, is back again this year, followed by fellowship in the after-hours suite.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11

LAW STUDENT LEADERSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP FORUM
The forum features breakout sessions with practicing lawyers, luncheon, and sharing time. Attendance throughout this whole event is mandatory for all students receiving scholarships.

1 - 5 pm Saturday afternoon features a full program of panels designed to stimulate thought and discussion about the particulars of following Christ in and through the law. Panels include a career options panel (featuring attorneys in public interest, small firm, large firm, and government practices) & an advisors panel (with InterVarsity law school ministry staff and law professors talking about campus and law practice ministry).

9:30 - 11 pm We'll close our time together with more fun, food, and fellowship in the after-hours suite.
